It seems like almost every week we have someone coming in with a broken Mepla cabinet corner hinge (also called a pie-cut corner hinge). Fortunately, the Mepla hinge isn’t in production anymore due to its design flaws. Unfortunately, that means it is hard to find a replacement. We stock a stronger replacement hinge in East Lansing and in Marshall from a different hinge manufacturer. However, we have had a few people come back after their purchase concerned that it wasn’t working properly when, in actuality, it was just installed backwards. It turns out, having some installation instructions makes a big difference, so we have been sharing the below video with every sale.

- I replaced a broken Mepla hinge, I don’t know the model number, it had 67 on the back and was about 25 years old. This hinge fit perfectly in the door, holes aligned Ok. The cabinet portion had one hole aligned, the other I drilled out without interference from the existing hole.
- These are nickel plated MEPLA face frame hinges & mounting plates. The hinges have the # 674.329.53.00 on them & the matching mounting plates # 346.290.54/00. These are concealed hinges for face frame style cabinet doors. They are new - never used & found in a deceased woodworker’s shop.
